About URL QR codes
A URL QR code is a square barcode that stores a web address. When someone points a phone camera at it, the phone reads the code and offers to open the page, so nobody has to type a long link. It is a handy way to connect printed material and the web: flyers, posters, menus, business cards, product packaging, or the last slide of a presentation.
This generator builds the code directly in your browser. The address you type is never sent to a server, stored, or tracked, and the code appears as soon as you stop typing. You can download it as a PNG, which is easy to insert into documents or send in a chat, or as an SVG, which stays sharp at any size and is the better choice for printing. If you leave out the https:// part, we add it for you.
A few tips: always scan the code yourself before printing it, leave a little empty space around it, print it at least about 2 cm (0.8 in) wide, and use dark ink on a light background so cameras can read it easily. Shorter links create simpler codes that scan faster.
Frequently asked questions
Is this URL QR code generator really free?
Yes. It is free, needs no account, and adds no watermark to your code.
Is my link sent to a server?
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser. Your address is never uploaded, stored or tracked.
Does the QR code expire?
No. The address is encoded directly in the image, so the code works for as long as the page it points to stays online. Fynorapa is not involved when someone scans it.
Should I download PNG or SVG?
Use PNG for documents, slides and chat. Use SVG for printing or large formats, because it stays sharp at any size.
Why does my link show an error?
Only web addresses starting with http or https are supported, and the address must look like a real website, such as example.com. Very long links also cannot fit in a QR code.
