About vCard QR codes
A vCard QR code stores electronic contact details in the standard vCard format. When someone scans it with a smartphone camera, the device automatically recognizes the contact card and prompts them to add you to their contacts. This eliminates the tedious chore of manually typing names, phone numbers, and email addresses, making it perfect for paper business cards, conference badges, resumes, brochures, and digital presentations.
This generator operates entirely within your browser using the widely supported vCard 3.0 standard. None of the contact details you enter are uploaded to any server, saved to databases, or tracked. Special characters and accents (including Turkish letters like ş, ğ, ı, ö, ü) are properly formatted so they display cleanly on modern devices. You can also pick custom foreground and background colors to match your personal brand or stationery design.
Please note an important privacy consideration: every detail encoded in a static QR code is completely visible to anyone who scans it or decodes the image. Only include contact information you are comfortable sharing publicly. In addition, profile photos and physical street addresses are intentionally not included in this tool to keep the QR code simple, compact, and reliably scannable on all smartphone cameras.
Frequently asked questions
Does this contact QR code work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Standard camera apps on iOS (iPhone) and modern Android devices natively recognize vCard QR codes and prompt the user to save the contact directly into their address book.
Can I add a profile photo or logo to the vCard?
No. Storing image files inside a static QR code drastically inflates the data size, making the code extremely dense and difficult or impossible for cameras to scan reliably. For optimal scanning, this tool focuses on essential text contact details.
What is a vCard?
A vCard (Virtual Contact File) is an internationally recognized standard format for electronic business cards. It allows email programs, mobile devices, and contact management systems to exchange contact details seamlessly.
Why is my QR code so dense and hard to scan?
The more details you fill in, the more modules (squares) the QR code needs to store the text. If your code is dense, consider keeping only your primary phone, email, and website to ensure quick, dependable scanning on all phone cameras.
Can I edit the contact details after downloading or printing?
No. This tool generates a static QR code where all your contact information is directly embedded inside the pattern itself. If your phone number or title changes, you must generate and print a new QR code.
